Dr. Chen has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of the new journal, Security Informatics, to be published by Springer; inaugural issue forthcoming in 2011.

Funding from the National Science Foundation has been awarded to the Artificial Intelligence Lab to support the work of undergraduates in research.

Dr. Chen will give the keynote speech for the IEEE Intelligence and Security Informatics Conference, to be held in Vancouver, May 23-26, 2010, and will also speak at the Pre-PACIS Workshop on Business Intelligence and Analytics in Taipei, July 9, 2010.

The AI Lab's Dark Web project has received $1M in new funding from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).
